Looking to travel Sendai, Japan this weekend. Anyone know a good hotel where we can be close to the train station and bars? And which city is better to party in Morioka or Sendai?

Definitely Sendai is a better place to party. Sendai's night town-Kokubuncho, has the best nightlife between Tokyo and Sapporo. There is a business hotel right there called "Sendai Kokubucho Hotel". I believe. In any case Sendai is quite compact and you could walk from ekimae to Kokubuncho or catch a cab for about 750 yen. Therefore you have lots of choices in hotels, there are two Washington Hotels on Aoba-dori. The hot spots come and go, so I suggest just starting out at whatever shot bar/izakaya and asking the barman or locals where to move on to. There is also a Sendai nightlife/dining guide they will have on the magazine rack at any Sendai convience store. Be sure to try the beef tounge and hoya-zu. Enjoy!
