Game designing?

Ok well i im 14 and im a fan to alot of games.. computer games and games on consoles.. when i was younger i use to test games and we use to discuss about them or w/e.. when i grow up i want to be a game designer..

does any one know a program where i can start like designing characters and the layout just for training so i can get started in making basic games that are like 1player . but on the computer ?

You can get game maker lite from yoyogames.com. Or you can buy game maker pro from... yoyogames.com.
Some of your favorite games might support the creation of "mods" which are mini-additions created in the games program that you can make available to other players of the game. Thats a great way to get a feel for what does and doesnt work.

Then I would look at one of the "basic" prgoramming packages which make programming games easier. Something like DarkBasic.
